So I am officially middle aged....
The wrong side of forty and fast approaching fifty, grey hair and a waist size catching up with my age I decided it was time to take up a new hobby to try and get a bit fitter and also something I would get benefit from, so I put my name down on the waiting list in our town for an allotment. With the revival of "Grow Your Own" allotment plots are becoming fashionable again, and was expecting a fairly long wait. However only a few weeks later I received a call asking if I would like to take up a vacant plot. I jumped at the chance and arranged to meet the president of the Allotment Association a week later to view the plot and receive a golden key to what I hoped would be a fitter me and an abundance of fresh veg and fruit.
